This tent will not catch fire but melt in accordance with US law in the event of a fire emergency. The fabric used to make this tent is 190T (PU800) which is a strong but flexible rip-resistant bright and vibrant colored polyester. Unlike many tents on the market this is seam-taped which is the critical part of water-resistant protection that is often not provided on lower-cost tents. When you want to keep a sewn tent water-resistant, use Seam Tape to cover up needle holes made in the fabric during manufacturing. Don't worry if it rains you'll stay completely dry
