Cape Cod Shipbuilding is a historic American boatbuilder (founded 1899, still family-owned and operating today in Wareham, MA). They built thousands of small pleasure boats pre-WWII, shifted briefly to military tugs during the war, and became one of the earliest adopters of fiberglass construction postwar. Pieces from the immediate pre-war/WWII era (especially 19391945, right after Goodwin took over) are uncommon because the company was small at the time and focused on production rather than heavy correspondence archiving.
