The shredded material from the machine can be placed either on the ground or in a wagon as illustrated in Fig. 2. Lever on side of machine is used to control direction of material. With lever in complete down position, material will discharge to the ground. If material is to be loaded in a wagon, the lever must be in the upper position. Stops at "A", Fig. 3, are adjustable on deflector handle bracket to lock deflector in either of the discharge posi-tions.

Fig. 4. The door opening in hood is used for clean out purposes. If the tractor P.T.O. speed is not maintained, the ground speed too fast, or if the material is very wet, the material will not have enough force to discharge out of the upper end and plugging may occur.
