LOIS "TOMMIE" BARKER played for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She received the nickname when her family thought she would be a boy. Her brothers (2) and sisters (6) when passing her crib, would exclaim, "there's our Tommie" and the name stuck. In 1950 Lois played with the Grand Rapids Chick's. She played one year only due to family commitments of taking care of her father. In one game before joining the AAGPBL she had an unassisted triple play. She played 3rd base and right outfielder. Born in Dover, N.J. She passed away in Morristown, N.J. She is in Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame.
