Vintage Lafitte Python Bag Judith Leiber, EXTREMELY RARE EARLY JUDITH LEIBER

Amazing vintage: 1968 Black Python Small Bag, “Lafitte 9385,” Made by Judith Leiber without signing her name. She was “Lafitte.” Later in the early 70’s she used “Lafitte” along with signing “Judith Leiber” inside her mostly patent leather (like the strip of leather in the gold-tone 16.5” handle drop chain on this black python skin bag). Inside is black soft leather, wonderful shape. The number 9385 may be an individual number on this bag rather than a style number. The gold chain has a 5.5” shoulder harness of python on the outside and leather on the inside, made for comfort so the chain wouldn’t directly slice into your shoulder. This bag is 7.5” wide, 6.25” tall and 1.5” thick. A white steel large bead clasp secures the bag closure. One non-zippered inside pocket. Lightly used and in extraordinary good vintage condition for 52 years of age. This is a collectible. Very Jacqueline Kennedy-ish. This is early Judith Leiber fashion history.
